Dongying has rich and unique tourism resources, with new land formed by the mud silting of the Yellow River and old land coexisting. The northern part features natural landscapes of the estuary area and wetland, where a national natural reserve is also established; the central part features modern industrial landscapes, mainly of petroleum industry; the southern part, which is ancient place of State Qi and the hometown of Sunwu--a great strategist in ancient China famous for his works (Art of War), features long-standing history and splendid culture.
